Why the OTHER Ben Savage? Well, apparently, there's an actor by the same name. I am not him. But I do have it on good authority that I am better looking than he is, so I'll take that over coming up first in a Google search.
I'm a graphic designer/illustrator, and I have been designing and creating UI for video games for 11+ years. I've worked for Electronic Arts and Disney Interactive in that time, and shipped games ranging from The Godfather to Littlest Pet Shop (that's quite a range!). I've spent the last 4+ years as the UI Department Head for Avalanche Software and led the UI team for Disney Infinity since its inception.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy what you see.

Design
Growing up in rural southern Utah, there's not a lot of people that need Illustration work done, but everybody needs a t-shirt! So began my voyage into graphic design. Anything to feed the kids...
Services
I've been an illustrator since High School, and a designer since college. Here's what I can bring to the table.

ILLUSTRATION
I received my Degree in Art with an Emphasis in illustration. I've always loved painting and drawing things, and even though I'm a UI designer by trade, I never pass up an opportunity to pick up a pencil or paintbrush (okay, Wacom pen, but come on, it's like the same thing...). I've done book covers and magazine illustrations and cd covers.

DESIGN
I fell in love with graphic design in college, and I've never looked back. I have experience doing everything from t-shirts to marketing materials. I've done design work for clients such as Maverik Country Stores and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

UI
UI Design is my bread and butter. I love working with a good team of dedicated artists and programmers to bring a great design to life.
Employement
I've had a lot of jobs through the years, but I'm guessing you'd rather take a look at my relevant experience, instead of hearing about my time as a Cook/Cake Decorator at Dairy Queen. But if you really want to know about that, well, that's a story for another time...

SUU was a great place to learn, and an even better place to become an artist. This is where my love of art really grew, and the first time I thought that I could make it as an artist. And yes, lots of people go to school for 6 years...
